Android Person in an Apple World

 I am most definitely an Android person in an Apple world. I have a Samsung phone and I'm not ever thinking about changing. As a teacher, I am constantly learning and am needing to be flexible with different technology. Here are about a total of 2 days worth of my adventures with the iPad:  Principal gave teachers new iPads with fancy new Otterbox cases Otterbox cases do not fit iPads they were made for Teachers have sore fingers because of trying to get them to work Principal sends cases back and gets better ones We take iPads home to finish uploading all the "cool new apps" iPads will not load at home for anyone GroupMe message with teachers on finding out how to make this work Principal worried I have figured out that turning an iPad off and then on again makes it work I message the others Principal relieved  I learn that I NEED a back button on my technology ClassDojo app is downloaded to iPad Dojo app works at home, perfectly Dojo app stops working w...

New Year, New Subject

   Confession time: I am horrible at posting. As you can tell, I only had one post from last school year. One! This year is hopefully going to be very different. I am on my 3rd year of teaching, and I get to teach 4th grade reading! I am so excited! I love to read and I love reading. My students don't know what to make of me. I am still a big nerd, when it comes to setting up my classroom, and talking about superheroes, and I am very open with them about that.    This year as a school, we are implementing Kagan strategies, Leader In Me, ClassDojo, Formative Loop, and our principal bought all the teachers brand-new iPads! As I have mentioned, I'm excited about this year. I am working with an awesome team, and we are ready to get out of IR! Yes, we are in it again.
